Instructions: The chart below is divided
into four exposures (North, South, East, West). Each
exposure has two conditions (1)Full sun with NO porch and
NO overhang (2)NO sun and FULL porch or overhang.Find your door and/or frame in the left column and your exposure with condition. Where the two intersect is your maintenace guide. (ie.... a wood door stained with a south exposure and full sun condition will be HIGH maintenance. ) |
| -Sun and heat will
deteriorate your protective finish and chaulking -Water and moisture will deteriorate any unprotected wood |
-Never paint plastic door
moldings a dark color -Storm doors should always be vented to avoid heat build-up |
